In 1173, Robert 'Blanchemains', the 3rd Earl of Leicester, became a principal supporter of the revolt against Henry II by three of his sons. Robert's actions not only threatened to up-end the fledgling Plantagenet dynasty, they were to have severe and lasting repercussions for Leicester and its inhabitants too.

Doors will be open from 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start, please use the evening entrance on Granby Street.
