Christmas at Charnwood Museum

Christmas is here and we have something for everyone!

We have a gallery game planned from Saturday 4th December to keep children of all ages entertained called " When Santa got stuck in the Chimney"!

We have drop-in sessions on a Saturday morning from 10am-12 noon. On Saturday 4th December we have "Deck the Halls "- where you can make Christmas decorations and on Saturday 11th December, festive badge making (both sessions £1.00 charge per item). Please click on the link below for further information.

On Saturday 18th December enjoy our Christmas games, jokes, dressing up and colouring sheets.

On Saturday 4th December the Friends of Charnwood Museum are hosting a coffee morning from 10.30am-12.00noon. Please join us in the museum education room for coffee, tea, biscuits, and cake.

Looking for a Christmas gift we have a shop offering a range of pocket money toys, gemstones, fossils as well as gifts and books from local artists and authors.

It is your last chance to see our 'Market 800' exhibition and looks at how Loughborough's Markets have developed from the Medieval era right up to current traders.

Opening on Saturday 8th January 2022 our latest exhibition will be the 'The Tiger who came to tea'. Look out for further information about this event.

Our opening hours are Wednesday to Saturday 10am - 3pm. There is no need to book, just turn up!

Charnwood Museum will be closed from Sunday 19th December 2021 and will reopen on Saturday 8th January 2022.
