The exhibition:
- Tells the story of their life in Uganda and their subsequent expulsion
- Their journey to the UK and settlement in Loughborough
- Celebrates how they have rebuilt their lives.
- Places this within the context of the migration of East African Asians to the region in this period, and the changing nature of Loughborough.
- Through the experience of Ugandan Asians, encourages reflection on the treatment of contemporary refugees.
